MaKayla had a dominating 2023 soccer season for this true freshman from Detroit Cass Tech High School. She is a very skilled and talented soccer player who knows how to get the ball to her teammates for goals, and her speed and dribbling skills make her a force around the goal. Given her leg strength, we saw incredible goal-scoring from outside the box and one-on-one dribbles for goals. As a result, her 14 games during the season resulted in her being ranked #2 in the state for assists (17 assists), #6 for points (57 points), and #8 for goals (20 goals). This was 1.4 goals and 1.2 assists per game. Her Class A stats are #2 for points, #2 for goals, and #1 for assists. MaKayla has shown her ability to play a very high level of soccer in Michigan, and we envision she will be one of the top female players in the state for her remaining high school playing days. Cass Tech was the top team in the District, made the State playoffs, and finished second in the conference.
